LX Hausys has launched ‘LX Z:IN Kitchen Shift Cloud,’ a new line of kitchen furniture featuring a ‘floating’ design that appears to hover in mid-air.
‘Shift Cloud’ is a newly introduced product responding to the growing popularity of an interior trend—first in Europe and now in Korea—that maximizes the sense of openness in kitchen spaces, along with rising demand for such designs.
First, ‘Shift Cloud’ is built around a ‘Cloud Island,’ a floating design applied to the island countertop that has recently emerged as a new mainstay of kitchen spaces. Unlike conventional kitchen furniture, it removes the toe kick at the very bottom and applies transparent acrylic legs, creating a gap between the countertop and the floor. As a result, it makes the kitchen appear more spacious with the impression of floating in the air like a cloud, and because the space is no longer blocked off by a conventional toe kick, cleaning the floor beneath the lower cabinets is also easier.
In addition, the hood is integrated with the ‘Cloud Island’ and positioned directly in front of the cooktop rather than on the ceiling, allowing it to draw in the smoke and odors generated during cooking more quickly for a more pleasant kitchen environment. The integrated hood is finished with ‘HI-MACS,’ LX Hausys’ engineered stone product that is highly resistant to stains and heat, enhancing durability. The lower cabinets of the ‘Shift Cloud’ sink also adopt the same floating design as the ‘Cloud Island’ countertop for a unified look, and unlike conventional kitchen furniture, the sides of the lower cabinets use sturdy steel instead of wood to reinforce durability.
‘Shift Cloud’ is available in a total of six colors, including ▲Pino Cotton Grey ▲Modern White ▲Night Blue ▲Albi Blue, and premium materials such as ‘ZEST,’ a matte furniture film developed in-house by LX Hausys that is resistant to scratches and stains, can also be applied to the doors.
An LX Hausys official said, “Shift Cloud is a premium product that satisfies customers seeking not only a trendy floating design never seen before but also a highly refined kitchen interior,” adding, “We will continue to introduce new kitchen furniture with differentiated designs.” 080-005-4000
