Kangnam Jevisco has developed 'Isolate #1000 Clear', an adhesive for polypropylene (hereinafter PP) deco film that is primarily used on kitchen furniture and built-in furniture.
PP material is generally known as an eco-friendly material, as it has a stable molecular structure, produces no harmful gases when burned or decomposed, and is free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which cause endocrine disruptors and sick house syndrome. 'Isolate #1000 Clear', newly developed by Kangnam Jevisco, is a product that bonds PP coating film to furniture materials such as MDF that have interior PP deco film applied. It generates almost no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), thereby maintaining the eco-friendliness of the finished furniture. In addition, its outstanding adhesion minimizes the lifting at bent sections—a problem that had not been solved until now—enhancing the quality of the finished furniture. Furthermore, it is an excellent product with no yellowing that occurs when exposed to sunlight.
A Kangnam Jevisco official said, "The new product is a tack-free type with no stickiness, and its very low defect rate resulting from temperature differences during work has earned high satisfaction at work sites as well," adding, "We plan to continue developing not only paints and coatings but also high-performance adhesives with strong marketability." 1588-7233
