Kangnam Jevisco has launched ‘Proa Ecolethane’, a water-based paint for interior floors.
The new product ‘Proa Ecolethane’ is a water-based clear paint for light foot traffic, designed for interior cafés, offices, hospitals, sports facilities, factory floors, and more. It is characterized by having almost no odor, allowing coating work to be carried out in a more pleasant working environment. In addition, while conventional oil-based products require a bake-out—a ventilation process of at least one to two days after application—‘Proa Ecolethane’ requires no separate bake-out, so in the case of commercial facilities it can shorten the coating period and minimize business losses. Furthermore, customers who until now have used imported water-based paints costing two to three times more than conventional oil-based products can now also reduce construction costs through Kangnam Jevisco’s ‘Proa Ecolethane’.
An official from Kangnam Jevisco said, “The new product Proa Ecolethane is a functional paint that allows a choice of finishes such as semi-gloss and matte, and its excellent water resistance makes it outstanding for protecting wooden floors as well,” adding, “Going forward, based on Jevisco’s eco-friendly water-based technology, we plan to continuously strive to develop economical functional products that can replace expensive imported paints.”
