The Bosch Power Tools Division (Division Head Park Jin-hong) has launched the ‘GPB 18V-5 C Professional,’ a rechargeable Bluetooth radio optimized for demanding job sites such as construction and interior work.
The new ‘GPB 18V-5 C Professional’ offers significantly higher audio output than Bosch's previous Bluetooth radios. With four built-in 5W speakers, it delivers a substantial total audio output of 20W. In addition, a 20W integrated subwoofer produces powerful, well-defined bass. Beyond standard FM/AM radio, it is compatible with a variety of sources such as Bluetooth and AUX, making it easy to listen to music from mobile devices as well.
The new product also meets the ‘IP 54’ dust and water protection rating, giving it strong durability. The first and second digits of the IP rating indicate the level of dust and water protection, respectively, and IP 54 blocks external dust and operates without issue under spray-level water jets. A protective roll cage has been added to the exterior of the product, designed to keep it safe from physical impact. The ‘GPB 18V-5 C Professional’ also lets you conveniently choose the power operation method to suit your work environment. The product adopts a ‘dual power system’ that runs on both a wired AC adapter and a rechargeable 18V battery. When operating on a rechargeable battery, the battery cover can be closed even with Bosch's premium battery, the ‘ProCORE18V,’ up to the 12.0Ah size. It also boasts excellent energy efficiency, running for up to 13.5 hours at medium volume (15-30) when using a ProCORE 18V 4.0Ah battery. In addition, it features two power outlets and a USB port for charging mobile devices, making it both useful and convenient.
A representative from the Bosch Power Tools Division said, “This new product is characterized by greatly enhanced ruggedness, combining not only waterproof and dustproof features but also a protective roll cage,” adding, “It is a radio with upgraded specifications, including audio output and battery capacity, compared to previous products.”
