Hankuk Glass (CEO Lee Seok-woo) is launching ‘PLANITHERM DURA MAX,’ a soft Low-E glass that boasts outstanding durability while allowing simple processing by eliminating the ‘Edge Stripping’ step.
‘PLANITHERM DURA MAX’ is an upgraded version of ‘PLANITHERM DURA PLUS,’ the soft Low-E glass launched in 2016. ‘DURA PLUS’ is one of Hankuk Glass's flagship popular products, and demand has grown steadily as its product strengths—such as durability, thermal insulation, and simple processing—aligned with the demand for eco-friendly buildings. In line with this market trend, Hankuk Glass has launched ‘PLANITHERM DURA MAX’ as a product with unrivaled performance, further improved beyond ‘DURA PLUS.’
The newly launched product is characterized by the following: △It is a Non-edge deletion Low-E glass that does not require the ‘edge stripping’ step essential to the insulated glazing (double-glazing) manufacturing process for soft Low-E glass, and △it offers the best thermal transmittance (U-value) performance among comparable products from competitors. △In addition, as a temperable product, it can undergo tempering processing when necessary, providing excellent processing productivity and easy inventory management; △its strong coating film minimizes concerns about scratches and damage during processing; and △it can be stored long-term for up to 12 months, maintaining outstanding durability.
