Fan&Co. Co., Ltd., Korea's first specialized ceiling fan brand, is growing into the nation's leading ceiling fan brand by presenting a wide range of fans that elevate the character of a space.
A ceiling fan circulates indoor air to create a more comfortable interior, keeping rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Recently, ceiling fans have moved beyond being simple home appliances to be recognized as beautiful objets that enhance the character of a space, making them a must-have item among consumers.
As the number of consumers who prefer ceiling fans grows, Fan&Co. began its own distinctive story from the questions: 'Why is there no specialized ceiling fan company in Korea? We have plenty of talented designers, industrial engineers, and capable experts of our own, so must consumers really buy directly from places like Australia to install these fans in our apartments and homes?'
Over its first two years in business, Fan&Co. repeatedly analyzed overseas products and produced samples, ultimately developing two models and obtaining eight domestic certifications. In addition, to win recognition from domestic consumers accustomed to the quality and after-sales service of top brands such as Samsung and LG, the company devoted itself to every area—category-defining quality, diverse designs, and after-sales service—and as a result, through 2021 and the first half of 2022, it grew into a genuinely noteworthy company in Korea's ceiling fan industry.
The greatest distinguishing feature of Fan&Co. ceiling fans is that the company offers products in a variety of sizes, materials, and colors that can be applied to spaces with many constraints—from small master bedrooms with low ceilings to commercial facilities with ceilings over six meters high and sloped gable roofs—thereby broadening consumers' range of choice.
In particular, the company recently launched a Korea-specific ceiling fan reflecting the low ceiling heights of domestic apartments. The product lowers the fan's height from 21 cm to 18 cm and reduces the blade size from 52 inches (132 cm) to 44 inches (110 cm), giving it a proportionally balanced, settled look even in a home's master bedroom. Fan&Co. explained, "Ceiling fans were originally commercialized to suit the environment of detached houses abroad, so when domestic consumers purchased them through overseas direct buying, applying them to their spaces was difficult," adding, "Fan&Co. changed the shape of the receiver attached to the motor and invested in a new mold to reduce the size of the motor cover, newly introducing the Korea-specific ceiling fan 'Mini Lena.'"
Going forward, Fan&Co. plans to concentrate its capabilities on exports beyond the domestic market. To export to the United States, Australia, and Europe—the home of the ceiling fan—the company is steadily proceeding step by step with the UL mark, trademark applications, design registrations, and more.
