Kiturami announced that it has launched Korea’s first ‘External Hot Water Plus System,’ which delivers faster and more abundant hot water without the need to replace an existing boiler.
The ‘External Hot Water Plus System’ pre-heats the piping through which hot water is supplied from the boiler, delivering hot water quickly without having to wait 1 to 2 minutes before use. According to Kiturami Boiler’s own testing, hot water can be used within 10 seconds—up to 90% faster than products without the system installed.
In particular, the ‘External Hot Water Plus System’ offers high versatility, as it can be installed regardless of manufacturer. It can be installed on any boiler product equipped with a flow-detection function, regardless of capacity or manufacturer. Installation is also simple, with a structure in which the External Hot Water Plus System main unit is installed on the direct-water piping at the bottom of the boiler and a comfort valve for hot water circulation is connected beneath the faucet. The ‘External Hot Water Plus System’ also significantly increases the amount of hot water. During a 10-minute shower, up to 10 liters more hot water can be used, and hot water is supplied stably even when multiple faucets are used simultaneously. In addition, it offers the environmental benefit of reducing water waste. It can save approximately 11.8 liters of cold water that would otherwise be drained away while waiting for hot water to arrive, amounting to savings of 17.5 tons per year.
In addition, the ‘External Hot Water Plus System’ is equipped with features for user convenience and winter safety, including ▲a ‘Reservation Function’ that maintains the temperature by time slot so that users can efficiently use hot water at their desired times, and ▲a ‘Freeze Protection Function’ that automatically operates until the water reaches 15℃ when the water temperature drops below 4℃, preventing the piping from freezing.
A Kiturami Boiler official said, “We launched the External Hot Water Plus System, which can be flexibly installed even on existing boilers, so that more consumers can enjoy remarkably fast and abundant hot water,” adding, “In particular, large apartments and country homes with spacious floor areas and multiple bathrooms will be able to experience comfortable and stable hot water with just a simple installation.” 1588-9000
