Heim Lab, a subsidiary of GS E&C, has launched ‘Heim Lab Remodeling,’ a service that provides a one-stop solution from diagnosing aging apartments to interior renovation.
Unlike existing companies that offer remodeling focused mainly on design improvements, ‘Heim Lab Remodeling’ delivers remodeling that combines both function and design. It diagnoses functional problems arising from apartment aging—such as poor insulation and leaks—as well as living-environment issues like odors and air quality, and provides customers with an inspection report. Remodeling then proceeds through one-on-one design consultations tailored to each customer’s preferences. Based on the 3D images and drawings produced through construction consultations, a dedicated construction manager provides hands-on, on-site management, along with after-sales customer care services. Another advantage is the added convenience of integrated services—including estimates, contracts, and history management—provided through the Heim Lab website. Heim Lab’s main customers are households requiring living-environment management among apartments aged 10 to 25 years or more, where the defect-repair warranty period has ended and problems caused by aging begin to appear. The service is currently available in Gangnam-gu, Seocho-gu, and Songpa-gu, and there are plans to expand the service area by adding 10 or more districts in Seoul during the second half of the year.
A Heim Lab official said, “Through a remodeling service based on housing function diagnosis that considers not only beauty but also the value of a healthy space, we will grow into a Heim Lab recognized and trusted by our customers.”
Meanwhile, the name Heim Lab is a compound of ‘HEIM,’ the German word for home, and ‘Laboratory (LAB)’ in English, carrying the meaning of a laboratory that explores the healthy home. Since launching the brand in 2022, Heim Lab began with ‘Heim Lab Check,’ which diagnoses the functions of existing apartments, followed by ‘Bathroom Remodeling’ in 2023, and has now expanded its scope of services with ‘Heim Lab Remodeling,’ which spans from functional improvement through professional diagnosis to spatial design. 1566-5155
