Samhwa Paints Industrial announced that it is launching 'KIF 200,' an industrial cementitious fireproofing spray material, and moving to capture the market.
Samhwa Paints' new product 'KIF 200' is designed for application to fire-vulnerable facilities such as tunnels and oil-refining and petrochemical plants, and is distinguished by its ability to maintain a structure's fire-resistance performance for up to 4 hours at 1,350℃. In addition, according to the company, 'KIF 200' maintains outstanding fire-resistance performance while adopting a spray application method that allows fast and easy installation, and it also secures price competitiveness. The industrial fireproofing spray material 'KIF 200' has also obtained UL 1709 certification, a first in Korea. Samhwa Paints is the only domestic company to hold 'UL 1709 certification' for both fireproof coatings and fireproofing spray materials. UL certification is granted by a U.S. safety-standards certification body after evaluating whether a product safely protects users from hazards such as fire. Furthermore, it has obtained tunnel fire-resistance test certification from the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT), allowing it to be used with even greater peace of mind.
A Samhwa Paints official explained, "With the introduction of the new product KIF 200, we have established a comprehensive supply system capable of proposing an optimal fire-resistance system from industrial plant design through construction." 02-765-3641
