KCC Glass (CEO Chung Mong-ik) is actively targeting the public procurement construction market with 'CULLINAN,' which delivers world-class insulation performance.

KCC Glass recently announced that it has installed 'MZT152,' the light blue color version of its ultra-high-insulation double Low-E glass CULLINAN, at Seoul Nanhyang Elementary School in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, and Deungmyeong Middle School in Gangseo-gu. 'CULLINAN' is a double Low-E glass product that maximizes insulation and solar shielding performance based on KCC Glass's innovative technology. According to test results from the Korea Conformity Laboratories, its thermal transmittance is 0.97 W/㎡·K based on 28 mm double-pane glass, boasting the highest thermal transmittance among all double Low-E glass products currently in existence worldwide. In addition, 'CULLINAN' has an overwhelmingly high LSG (Light to Solar Gain) coefficient of 2.25, which indicates solar heat blocking efficiency relative to visible light transmittance. This effectively reduces cooling loads in summer while keeping interiors bright and comfortable, creating an optimal indoor environment.

Launched in 2022, 'CULLINAN MZT152' has been installed at more than 300 schools and government offices nationwide within just two years of its launch, earning recognition for its excellence on the strength of its outstanding performance. In terms of area, more than 350,000 ㎡ has been supplied—enough to cover approximately 50 soccer fields.

As the government's recent energy-saving policies have tightened regulations on building energy use, the installation of double Low-E glass with superior insulation performance is on the rise, particularly in government office buildings. In particular, as the Ministry of Education implements its 'Five-Year Plan for Improving School Facility Environments,' into which it is investing 29 trillion won starting this year, demand for double Low-E glass is also increasing significantly at school remodeling sites. KCC Glass plans to actively increase its share of the public procurement construction market, focusing on CULLINAN products alongside its existing high-performance double Low-E glass product 'MCT154,' which was applied to buildings such as the Suwon City Council building. In February this year, the 'Silver (MZT128)' and 'Gray (MZT135)' colors, which are highly popular in the construction market, were also launched, adding aesthetic appeal and further strengthening CULLINAN's product competitiveness.

A KCC Glass official said, "With its outstanding insulation and solar shielding performance, 'CULLINAN' is being adopted one after another at construction sites that prioritize energy efficiency, such as schools, government offices, and large buildings." 02-2015-8500
