The 'Kotara IoT Smart Ceiling Fan,' introduced by premium Australian ceiling fan brand Lucci AIR, is earning a positive response from consumers.
Ceiling fans have long been regarded as simple ventilation aids, but recently they have drawn attention as central air-circulation devices as they combine with IoT technology. In particular, as more consumers place importance on energy efficiency by linking fans with air conditioners, demand for smart ceiling fans is gradually expanding. Amid this trend, Lucci AIR has entered the market by launching its own app-based IoT ceiling fan, 'Kotara,' in Korea. The Lucci AIR 'Kotara' is a smart lifestyle ceiling fan that can be controlled in real time via a smartphone through its dedicated app, Lucci Connect. It allows not only power on/off, wind speed adjustment, and timer settings, but also remote operation from outside the home, making it possible to create a comfortable indoor environment at any time. In particular, using Kotara's IoT functions, it can be linked with an IoT air conditioner to efficiently control the indoor cooling environment via smartphone even while away, allowing users to return home to a cool and comfortable space maintained in time for their arrival, according to the company. Furthermore, when used together with an air conditioner, it efficiently circulates cool air to quickly lower the temperature throughout the entire space, offering the advantage of efficient indoor temperature control. On top of this, it can deliver energy savings of approximately 40% compared to using an air conditioner alone.
A Lucci AIR representative said, "With the recent rise in power consumption from summer air conditioner use, the energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness of ceiling fans as supplementary cooling devices are drawing attention," adding, "Kotara is a highly economical product, with a low-power design that keeps the monthly electricity bill at an average of around 1,000 won."
In addition, 'Kotara' features an air circulation capacity of up to 218 ㎥/min and has been certified by global testing and certification body TÜV Rheinland for its ultra-low noise performance of 18.1 ㏈. This is quieter than the sound of rustling leaves, making it perfectly suitable for use in quiet spaces such as offices or studies. Moreover, as ceiling fans have established themselves as smart interior items that complete a space beyond their basic function, Kotara has been designed with the Korean residential environment in mind and has already completed registration of a domestic design patent.
Lucci AIR stated, "We plan to lead the smartization of Korea's ceiling fan market, centered on Kotara, which sets a new standard for IoT ceiling fans."
