The Bosch Power Tools division has launched two professional cordless jigsaws, the ‘GST 18V-155 BC Professional’ and ‘GST 18V-155 SC Professional’, which offer powerful cutting capacity and convenient features suited to a wide range of woodcutting tasks.
Both new products feature a brushless motor with a maximum speed of 3,800 rpm, delivering powerful cutting performance that can cut wood up to 155mm thick. A precision cutting guide is included to prevent the blade from bending and, with its high precision, provides clean cutting edges even on curved work. This makes it easy to perform curved cuts in hardwood, plywood, and wood composites, as well as work with thick, high-strength materials. In particular, the new products feature connectivity (Bluetooth), allowing the operator to adjust the blade speed across 6 levels using the Bosch Toolbox app, and to easily control various functions such as the Drop Control feature and LED lighting settings via the app. The Drop Control feature detects impact via a sensor if the tool is dropped on the floor during work, immediately stopping the motor and disc operation to prevent injury to the operator.
For each product, the ‘GST 18V-155 BC Professional’ features a variable-speed trigger that lets the user adjust the speed as desired when operating the tool. The ‘GST 18V-155 SC Professional’ features an ergonomic handle for easy tool grip and control, and adds safety and precision with its Adaptive Speed Control (ASC) feature. This function starts the tool smoothly and gradually increases the rotation speed as the blade contacts the material, and can be easily managed with the Bosch Toolbox. Both products include the main unit and a set of two wood jigsaw blades (T 144 DP/T 308 BP), a work-surface protector, an anti-splinter guard, and a dust-extraction connector, and are released as a bare tool supplied with the ‘L-BOXX 136’ tool storage box. This storage box uses an easy-to-open locking system and is characterized by its sturdy design.
