KCC (CEO Chung Mong-jin) announced that it has launched 'Spotan KS HyperFloor,' a hybrid paint that integrates waterproofing and flooring functions, and has completed the filing of a patent application.
The newly launched 'Spotan KS HyperFloor' is distinguished by being the only product in Korea to simultaneously obtain national standard (KS) certification as both a waterproofing material (KS F 3211) and a flooring material (KS F 4937), securing both product competitiveness and quality reliability. In particular, it maximizes performance by combining superior physical properties such as the high tensile strength of a waterproofing material and the high hardness of a flooring material. With superior resistance to floor cracking compared to existing products, it remains stable against external conditions and impact, and maintains outstanding waterproofing performance even under diverse climate changes.
In addition, owing to the nature of an integrated finishing material, applying 'Spotan KS HyperFloor' reduces costs and shortens the construction period compared to applying waterproofing paint and flooring paint separately. It is especially effective when applied to underground parking lot floors, which are prone to leaks caused by cracks and tend to have a poor appearance. Furthermore, 'Spotan KS HyperFloor' is an eco-friendly product that has obtained an Environmental Label certificate from the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute in recognition of its reduction of hazardous substances and local environmental pollution.
Flooring paint is a finishing material applied to areas such as concrete, cement, and steel to prevent dust generation caused by external impact and abrasion, and to form an elastic coating film that delivers a waterproofing effect. KCC holds various brands including Unipoxy, Spotan, and Hyper Urea.
