Bosch Power Tools division (Division Head Park Jin-hong), a global leader in the power tool industry, has announced the launch of the ‘GPB 18V-5 C Professional,’ a cordless Bluetooth radio optimized for demanding job sites such as construction and interior work.
The new product features significantly enhanced sound output compared to Bosch's existing Bluetooth radios. It comes with four built-in 5W speakers, delivering a massive total sound output of 20W. In addition, an integrated 20W subwoofer produces powerful, well-defined bass.
Beyond basic FM/AM radio, it is compatible with a variety of sources including Bluetooth and AUX, allowing you to easily play music from mobile devices as well.
The product also boasts strong durability, meeting the ‘IP 54’ dust- and water-resistance protection rating. The first and second digits of an IP rating indicate the levels of dust resistance and water resistance, respectively; IP 54 blocks external dust and operates without issue when exposed to spray-level water jets. A protective roll cage has been added to the exterior of the product, designed to keep it safe from physical impacts.
You can also conveniently choose how the device is powered depending on your work environment. The product adopts a ‘dual power system’ that operates via either a wired AC adapter or a rechargeable 18V battery. When running on a rechargeable battery, it can be used with the battery cover closed with Bosch's premium ‘ProCORE18V’ batteries up to the 12.0Ah size.
It also offers excellent energy efficiency, running for up to 13.5 hours at medium volume (15-30) when using a ProCORE 18V 4.0Ah battery. Furthermore, it is equipped with two power outlets and a USB port for charging mobile devices, making it both useful and convenient.
