Shinil Electronics, the leading fan seller in the domestic market, has launched a tabletop retro fan.

Amid the recent retro craze, products that were popular in the past are being newly released in response to requests from voisumers. A voisumer is a portmanteau of "voice" and "consumer," referring to consumers who assert their opinions to bring about changes in products or company policies. In this spirit, Shinil listened to the demands of voisumers and released a retro fan.

The new product was born out of requests from consumers who wished to donate to the company the fans they had cherished and used for decades, or to have them repaired for continued use. Shinil gave the fan a retro-style design to offer the older generation a sense of nostalgia and the MZ generation a fresh appeal. The logo used in 1980 was applied exactly as it was to the very center of the fan head, along with analog-style blue blades and an intuitive control panel.

In addition, this new product was made in a tabletop form so it can be used widely as an interior accessory. At about half the size of a standard fan, it can be placed and used on a bedside table, a table, or a dining table.

Incorporating advanced fan technology, it also delivers satisfying performance. Equipped with a high-performance BLDC motor, it achieves low power consumption and low noise, while its five-blade design provides powerful, abundant airflow.

Meanwhile, Shinil began in 1959 as a small motor manufacturer and, based on its proprietary motor technology, mass-produced and sold fans, leading the popularization of the electric fan. It is still renowned as the leading fan seller in the domestic market, with fan sales of 1.7 million units last year — a 10% increase over the same period the previous year.
