Samsung Electronics is launching a new ‘BESPOKE Water Purifier’ designed for single-person and small households.
The newly launched ‘BESPOKE Water Purifier’ features a 4-stage filter system that removes foreign substances from tap water. It automatically sterilizes the internal piping once every three days to eliminate 99.9% of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and it adopts a built-in design that installs the water purification module under the sink, with only the faucet (water outlet) exposed. The product has been streamlined so that the kitchen interior can be arranged more neatly.
It also comes with a ‘Smart Clean Care’ function that automatically drains stagnant water every four hours when the product is not in use. In addition, the maximum effective filter capacity is limited to 1,500 liters, allowing even single-person households to use it without concern. The filter is replaced once the effective water capacity has been fully used, based on the actual water dispensing history. This is designed to prevent unnecessary filter replacement while effective capacity remains, as well as to prevent continued filter use after the capacity has been exceeded.
Samsung Electronics’ ‘BESPOKE Water Purifier’ has been certified for the removal of 102 harmful substances by NSF, a testing laboratory accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), as well as by the Korea Environment & Water Works Institute and the professional testing agency NORGEN. NSF has also certified that the materials of all water-contact components—not only the filter but also the internal piping and faucet—are safe from more than 1,000 harmful substances. Furthermore, various management functions are linked with SmartThings, Samsung’s smart home platform application. The product allows the dispensing volume to be adjusted in 10 ml increments, and up to five preset volumes can be configured in advance from a mobile device. This is a useful feature for consumers who repeatedly dispense various amounts of water, such as for baby formula or ramen. In addition, the product offers three dispensing temperature levels, and by using the SmartThings app, users can choose from 11 levels in 5-degree increments starting from 40 degrees. Through the SmartThings cooking service ‘Scan Cook’ feature, the exact amount of water needed can be sent to the purifier, and it is also equipped with a function that scans the barcode of convenience meals to check recipes. The new ‘BESPOKE Water Purifier’ is available in three colors—Mellow Beige, Off White, and Off Black—with a factory price ranging from 690,000 to 1,090,000 won.
