Samsung Electronics announced the launch of the 'Samsung Interior Fit Kit,' which allows system air conditioners to be installed without ceiling drop-down construction.
The new 'Samsung Interior Fit Kit' is a panel that replaces the ceiling drop-down construction previously required to install system air conditioners in older apartments or houses with narrow gaps between the ceiling's interior and exterior walls. Ceiling drop-down construction requires additional work such as cutting the ceiling's interior wall, carpentry, and wallpapering, taking 2 to 3 days, and it also has the drawbacks of lowering the ceiling height and causing the construction area to protrude.
The 'Samsung Interior Fit Kit' addresses these issues by seamlessly connecting the step gap between the ceiling and the system air conditioner without any lifting. In addition, the new product applies the Wind-Free hole design of Samsung's Wind-Free system air conditioner as-is, so it blends harmoniously with the system air conditioner as if it were a single product—another advantage. Installation is also simple, allowing construction to be completed in a single day. The method involves drilling into the ceiling's exterior wall to install the 'Samsung Interior Fit Kit,' then mounting the system air conditioner onto the installed kit. The new 'Samsung Interior Fit Kit' can be used with all models of Samsung Electronics' residential Wind-Free system air conditioners equipped with personalized artificial intelligence (AI) functions and Wind-Free functions.
A Samsung Electronics official said, "Through the Samsung Interior Fit Kit, customers can install system air conditioners more simply and economically without compromising their interior design," adding, "We will continue to introduce innovative products and services so that more consumers can experience an AI lifestyle through Samsung Electronics' AI home appliances."
Meanwhile, the 'Samsung Interior Fit Kit' is available for purchase at Samsung Stores nationwide, and the price ranges from 180,000 to 190,000 won depending on the size. 02-2255-0114
