Air Free Technology Enhances Installation Convenience

‘Homecc Interior,’ the interior specialty brand of KCC Glass (CEO Kim Nae-hwan), has renewed and newly unveiled ‘Homecc Interior Film,’ an eco-friendly surface finishing material for interiors.

‘Homecc Interior Film’ is a finishing material applied to furniture, doors, molding, and more. It creates a new atmosphere in a space by adding to surfaces the feel of a material whose properties differ from those of the raw base material. In particular, unlike decorative sheets that require a separate adhesive process at a processing facility, ‘Homecc Interior Film’ comes with a special adhesive applied to its back, allowing it to be installed directly at the interior job site.

Through this renewal, ‘Homecc Interior Film’ has significantly strengthened its solid-color ‘Solid’ designs, now offering a total of 97 solid colors—the most among domestic interior film products. Solid colors suit any space while creating a clean, sophisticated atmosphere, and have received the greatest response since launch. In addition, 7 new ‘Synchro Wood’ designs have been added. These products use ‘synchronized embossing technology’ to realistically render wood grain, so that both the pattern and texture of genuine solid wood can be experienced through sight and touch. Along with the design changes, ‘Homecc Interior Film’ also offers enhanced installation convenience. The application of ‘Air Free technology,’ which prevents air bubbles from forming on the adhesive surface, greatly reduces the worry and inconvenience caused by bubbles during installation.

In addition, ‘Homecc Interior Film’ is an eco-friendly building material that has passed the Ministry of Environment’s ‘Standard Test Methods for Indoor Air Quality’ and obtained ‘Environmental Product Declaration certification’ from the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute. Furthermore, in tests conducted by the Korea Testing & Research Institute, all 7 phthalate-based plasticizers and the 4 major heavy metals were not detected, and the product also passed the flame-retardant performance test of the Korea Fire Institute, proving its safety in the early stages of a fire.

A KCC Glass official stated, “Homecc Interior Film is a product preferred in many new apartment complexes for its outstanding installation convenience and lifelike designs,” adding, “With this renewal, we have achieved a higher level of product quality—not only in design but also with enhanced convenience and additional eco-friendly certifications.”

Meanwhile, the interior film products of KCC Glass’s Homecc Interior were recognized for their outstanding quality last year, having been selected as No. 1 in the decoration film category for the third consecutive year in the ‘2022 Korean Standard-Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI)’ organized by the Korean Standards Association (KSA). 02-2015-8500
