Global lighting company Signify Korea (formerly Philips Lighting Korea) has officially launched ‘Philips hue Play,’ a smart lighting product specialized for entertainment.
Unlike ordinary lighting that simply provides illumination, ‘Philips hue’ is LED smart lighting whose brightness and color can be controlled with a smartphone, tablet, and more. Among these, ‘hue Play’ is a smart light that changes the color of the connected lights in sync with the video and sound on the screen, extending the light from the screen in games, movies, and dramas to deliver a whole new dimension of experience.
The greatest strength of ‘hue Play’ is, above all, its fast response speed. When you connect the ‘hue Sync’ PC app to ‘hue Play,’ the video and lighting respond nimbly as if they were one, so the lighting changes instantly whenever the video on screen changes. As a result, you can comfortably enjoy fast-paced action movies as well as shooting games where speed is everything.
In addition to outstanding performance and a simple design, easy installation is another advantage. ‘hue Play’ can be attached to both sides and the back of a PC monitor or TV; in particular, when attached to the back, the light is projected onto the wall to create an even more maximized lighting effect.
‘Philips hue Play,’ now officially launched in Korea, is sold as the ‘hue Play Double Pack’ (179,000 won), which consists of two hue Play units, and the ‘hue Play Extension Pack’ (79,000 won), a single unit for adding an extra connection. It is available through online channels such as Naver Store, Coupang, open markets, and retail malls, as well as offline channels including the Laser Store at Gangbyeon Techno Mart and Flint, the premium tech and lifestyle specialty stores at the Jamsil and Cheongnyangni branches of Lotte Department Store.
