Shinmyung Maru Co., Ltd. (CEO Kwon Hyuk-tae) has launched ‘Silent Walk,’ a Quick-Step underlay that reduces inter-floor vibration and noise.
Made from a high-density foam material, Quick-Step ‘Silent Walk’ is an underlay product crafted from eco-friendly materials with outstanding performance in resolving noise problems that occur inside buildings. In particular, when the new ‘Silent Walk’ product is installed together with Quick-Step flooring such as Hybrid, Parquet, and Alpha Vinyl, it reduces impact and airborne noise by up to 17–18 decibels (ISO 140-08 Protocol).
In addition, at a mere 2mm thin, ‘Silent Walk’ significantly reduces various noises that can arise from everyday living or from pet dogs, and because its thermal conductivity is higher than that of ordinary flooring, it is also well suited for use with underfloor heating and cooling systems. Furthermore, it offers high durability and stability, and its excellent resistance to moisture makes it ideal for use in humid spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens.
