Shinsegae Group's Shinsegae Casa has launched the 'Casamia × Richard Woods' accessories, created in collaboration with British contemporary artist Richard Woods as part of its 'Art Collaboration Project.'

As demand for art interiors—keeping and enjoying artworks at home—has grown recently, interest in home décor items that incorporate art has also increased significantly. In response, Shinsegae Casa is presenting interior accessories together with world-renowned artist Richard Woods, adopting a strategy that directly targets "artsumers."

The accessories unveiled this time are characterized by faithfully capturing the artist's works, known for their bold colors and distinctive patterns. Centering on the 'logo' pattern created exclusively for Casamia, the artist made colorful use of a total of six patterns that convey vivid, varied hues and his signature wit. Last October, to celebrate the renewal of the Casamia Seorae Village store—transformed with Richard Woods into an 'Art Salon' where the space itself is a work of art—Shinsegae Casa launched fabric accessories such as cushions and door mats featuring his patterns earlier this year. It has since released additional home décor items, including table lamps, picture frames, and tray sets, recently completing the collaboration lineup.

Through this collaboration, Shinsegae Casa plans to propose a premium lifestyle in which culture and art can be naturally enjoyed in everyday life, as a living-goods company that realizes distinctive scenes of life.

An official from Shinsegae Casa said, "As art consumption spreads in the home furnishing market as well, we planned and launched accessories that are the very works of global artist Richard Woods, in order to swiftly appeal to artsumers," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to seek opportunities for collaboration in the culture and arts fields, and propose lifestyle settings where art permeates living spaces and daily life through diverse content linked to the works of renowned artists at home and abroad." 1566-0228
