Shinsegae Casa has launched its new leather sofa, 'VASTO'. The new 'VASTO' is a 100% domestically made-to-order product—a premium (high-end) sofa in which a master sofa craftsman with long-standing production expertise is involved in everything from material preparation to construction.
'VASTO' features a swing-back function and a modern design. The swing-back is a function that adjusts the seat depth up to 890 mm by moving the backrest, allowing you to pull it forward when sitting and push it back when you want to lie down or recline deeply. The sub-cushion provided as standard supports the lower back more firmly and can be used like a pillow to lie against. In addition, 'VASTO' is a modular sofa—a rarity among leather sofas—that can be freely combined and expanded. There are six module types in total, including armrest, armless, and corner types. In particular, the armrest modules offer a wider range of choices, comprising an 'arm-tilting type' module that adjusts the angle of the armrest to allow wider use of the seat, and 'two standard arm types' suited for resting your arm when seated. The design applies a mid-back structure in which the backrest rises to just below the shoulders, enhancing a sense of openness, while the material uses Italian premium top-grain steer leather, giving it high durability and minimal sagging so it can be used without worry of damage or discoloration. In addition, the seat of 'VASTO' uses uncut full-hide leather to minimize seam lines. It is available in four colors—ivory, brown, gray, and light gray—so you can choose according to your taste. 1566-0228
