Samhwa Paints Industrial announced that it has newly developed the mosquito-repellent functional paint 'In Plus Mosquiper' and one other product.
A Samhwa Paints official explained, "Around the world, there is great fear of viral infections caused by mosquitoes, such as the Zika virus and dengue fever," adding, "We have developed 'In Plus Mosquiper,' a functional coating with a proven mosquito-repellent effect." Samhwa Paints' new product 'In Plus Mosquiper' is a water-based paint for construction that not only minimizes volatile organic compound content but also allows for a wide range of color tinting. In addition, it uses a raw material that artificially synthesizes the natural mosquito-repellent components of pyrethrum, a perennial plant in the chrysanthemum family, thereby enhancing the mosquito-blocking effect while minimizing the impact on the human body. 'In Plus Mosquiper' can be used in locations suited to its purpose, such as the corridors, entrances, and verandas of ordinary buildings.
In addition, Samhwa Paints' 'In Plus Mosquiper' adds a mosquito-repellent function to 'World Stain Master,' a best-selling wood stain with excellent anti-decay and anti-warping effects, so that it not only protects wood but also blocks mosquitoes. It is therefore suitable for the exteriors of buildings made of wood, such as country houses and pensions, and, like the existing 'World Stain,' it can produce a wide range of colors and meets the requirements of the Clean Air Conservation Act. The renewed 'World Stain Master' will be released in July, and 'In Plus Mosquiper' is scheduled to be launched in the second half of the year.

Meanwhile, Samhwa Paints has recently launched 'In Plus Radon Guard,' a functional paint that shields against the inflow of radon gas, drawing attention from the industry. In its own tests, 'In Plus Radon Guard' showed superior shielding effects compared to ordinary interior paints, and in test results from an accredited institution specializing in measuring radiation such as radon, it demonstrated a reduction effect of approximately 90% and received the highest grade in the Eco-Friendly Building Material Group Standard (HB certification mark) certification. 1544-5357
