EAGON Windows has launched the ‘Safety Screen,’ a single insect screen that combines pest protection with safety and burglar-resistance performance.

With home safety incidents such as falls involving children and pets, and burglaries in which intruders tear off the insect screen to break into the house, occurring frequently in recent years, the importance of safety through windows has been growing.

The newly introduced ‘Safety Screen’ from EAGON Windows is a new-concept safety screen that offers basic pest protection along with safety and burglar-resistance performance. Made of high-strength stainless steel black mesh, it is highly durable yet refined, and its simple, modern double-locking device strengthens safety and burglar resistance.

The stainless steel mesh of the ‘Safety Screen’ is 0.7 mm thick (14 mesh), thicker than ordinary security insect screens, so it cannot be pierced or cut even with a sharp tool. It also features a special black coating that prevents the diffuse reflection of light while blocking outside views, making it convenient for protecting privacy. Another highlight is EAGON Windows’ own special locking device, which greatly enhances performance while being designed to look refined and modern.

While the locking devices of conventional security insect screens tend to look bulky because they emphasize security functions, EAGON Windows’ ‘Safety Lock’ is designed as a slim, clean grip-type lock that harmonizes with existing system windows. After the first lock via up-and-down sliding, simply pressing the side button provides easy double locking. Because the locking device is not exposed to the outside, it is also effective at preventing intrusion from outside and falls involving children.

In addition, the ‘Safety Screen’ can be applied not only to EAGON Windows’ aluminum and PVC system windows but also to other companies’ windows, and it can be installed on a variety of windows regardless of the opening method, such as sliding or casement, enhancing its versatility. To match the window frame, the screen frame is available in a variety of colors, including white, silver, bronze, and gray, in addition to black.

An EAGON Windows official said, “As falls involving children and security incidents in apartments have occurred frequently in recent years, interest in insect screens that can be used with peace of mind is rising,” adding, “As interest in safety through windows grows, we expect demand to increase not only in households with children and pets but also across a variety of markets such as schools, nursing homes, resorts, and public institutions.” 1522-1271
