Consumers create their own interior spaces by choosing the design and color
EG Ecotech, an affiliate of Sungan DNC and a specialist in interior paint, has launched 'Re New', an eco-friendly paint finishing material that adheres to walls.
'Re New' is a product that combines the advantages of both paint and wallpaper, an innovative paint wallpaper born from years of testing and research. In particular, 'Re New' is finished with eco-friendly water-based paint over a flame-retardant non-woven fabric, giving it the ability to absorb formaldehyde—an airborne pollutant—as well as a variety of functional properties such as flame resistance, flame retardancy, and humidity control, making it an eco-friendly product that ordinary PVC wallpaper cannot imitate.
As environmental problems caused by PVC have recently become a global issue, interest in eco-friendly products has grown significantly within the wallpaper industry as well. However, the reality is that there is currently no clear alternative capable of replacing PVC wallpaper. In response, EG Ecotech had been considering a customized wallpaper that would be eco-friendly and suited to individual tastes as a replacement for PVC wallpaper, and this led to the launch of 'Re New'.
According to the company, 'Re New', developed and launched by EG Ecotech, takes the form of wallpaper while using eco-friendly water-based paint to maintain its environmental friendliness, and features a distinctive sense of volume and three-dimensional design, allowing it to be used as a substitute for PVC wallpaper. In addition, its installation is as easy as ordinary wallpaper, and another advantage is that consumers can choose the color they want according to their taste.
EG Ecotech's new product 'Re New' has been developed in a total of 25 patterns, and one of its characteristics is that most of the products are composed primarily of white. As a result, a variety of color mixing is possible depending on consumers' tastes and the desired atmosphere of the space, and ordinary consumers can apply it easily. Unique color mixing using various techniques is also possible as needed.
EG Ecotech explained, "Re New can simply be installed and used like ordinary wallpaper, and colors can be mixed as desired when needed, so its advantage is that the possibilities for creating spaces are limitless. In particular, by drawing on the know-how of a company with more than 30 years of experience manufacturing eco-friendly interior paint, a variety of painting-technique effects can be expected, and consumers can create their own distinctive interiors by choosing the design and color."
The paint wallpaper 'Re New' can be applied to any space. In particular, it is even more useful when applied to art walls in residential spaces as well as to commercial spaces that require diverse decoration, such as resorts and golf courses. EG Ecotech is currently carrying out marketing activities targeting interior companies, and going forward it plans to focus on sales in overseas markets such as China, where the use of eco-friendly wallpaper is expanding.
