Winix announced that it has launched and begun full-scale sales of the first inverter dryer in the mini dryer (6 kg or less) category.
The Winix ‘Inverter Compact Dryer’ applies Winix’s 50 years of inverter technology to further reduce noise and vibration while improving drying performance. Considering that existing mini dryers are more often installed and used in living spaces such as the living room or bedroom rather than in separate areas like a utility room or laundry room, the new product focuses on reducing noise and vibration, achieving quiet drying that does not disrupt daily life with a low noise level of 43.1 dB on the standard course. In addition, its high-efficiency inverter motor reduces unnecessary energy consumption and channels the saved energy into improving drying performance, delivering even better garment dryness compared to previous second-generation dryers. The bidirectional drum rotation enabled by the inverter motor automatically moves the drum left and right for a set period of time even after drying is complete, minimizing wrinkles in the laundry. Furthermore, by adding a UVC lamp inside the drum to the existing sterilization mode, it removes 99.9% of harmful bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, pneumococcus, and Staphylococcus aureus (KATRI test results).
In particular, the clothing care course, which helps remove various kinds of dust, pet hair, odors, and moisture attached to clothing and bedding, makes it easier to manage types of garments that are difficult to wash every day. A stainless steel drum that considers both hygiene and durability, along with a semi-permanent dust filter, are also features unique to the Winix ‘Inverter Compact Dryer’. The price of the new Winix ‘Inverter Compact Dryer’ is 419,000 won.
