Kweather (CEO Kim Dong-sik) has launched 'NoZe,' a new low-noise bathroom ventilation fan.
Equipped with an inverter brushless DC (BLDC) motor, 'NoZe'—named after the initials of 'Noise Zero'—runs so quietly that its operating noise is a mere 30.2 dB. Considering that the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends 30 dB as the noise threshold that does not disturb sleep, this represents a major improvement to the noise that has long been regarded as a chronic problem in the bathroom ventilation fan category. In addition, as a high-static-pressure, constant-airflow bathroom ventilation fan, 'NoZe' guarantees stable performance even in high-rise apartments and commercial buildings. In particular, it is designed to maintain airflow reliably even when the static pressure (the pressure required to push air out) in the ductwork and inside the bathroom changes, effectively expelling the moisture, odors, and pollutants generated in the bathroom and preventing mold, water stains, and the like. Leveraging the advantages of the BLDC motor, it also offers high power efficiency. With power consumption of just 5 W—about the same as the standby power of a TV set-top box—the electricity bill comes to less than 1,000 won even if the unit is left running for an entire month. Compared with conventional parallel (AC) motor bathroom ventilation fans, it can save up to 85% of energy. The BLDC motor produces little component wear and heat, and being built as a splash-resistant type, it also ensures durability. Furthermore, 'NoZe' incorporates a high-airtightness electric damper that blocks the backflow of pollutants from the shared exhaust duct, keeping the bathroom comfortable even when the ventilation fan is not running. Installing dampers on bathroom ventilation fans has been mandatory for newly built multi-unit housing since 2015, but in buildings that still use older, conventional exhaust systems, quite a few people experience discomfort from the inflow of sewer odors, pests, cigarette smells, and more.
Alongside the launch of the 'NoZe' bathroom ventilation fan, Kweather also unveiled two medium-static-pressure bathroom ventilation fans that deliver excellent performance at a reasonable price. Both products can secure stable airflow in environments where static pressure fluctuates, and their flush-to-ceiling design blends well with any interior. Depending on the model, customers can choose between a gravity damper and an electric damper, making them suitable for a variety of residential settings, including not only villas but also standard houses.
Kim Dong-sik, CEO of Kweather, said, "NoZe is a bathroom ventilation fan that catches both rabbits—noise and performance," adding, "We will continue to provide our customers with a quiet, comfortable, and safe bathroom environment free of odors and moisture."1644-0902
