'Sense House,' the residential LVT flooring introduced by HOMECC Interior, KCC Glass's specialized interior brand, is winning a favorable response from consumers.
A type of PVC flooring, 'LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile)' is a high-performance flooring for which demand is growing in the U.S. and European markets as a replacement for carpet. Easy to install and highly durable, it is used mainly in commercial spaces. In 2021, KCC Glass established an LVT production line at its Asan plant equipped with the longest product-cooling annealing system in Korea. Built on KCC Glass's technological capabilities and production know-how, 'Sense House' is a newly developed residential flooring that enhances the dimensional stability and eco-friendliness of LVT. To suit Korea's residential environment, where the ondol culture of underfloor heating has developed, a fiberglass layer has been applied inside the flooring to greatly reduce deformation caused by temperature changes, and the use of virgin PVC raw material makes it recyclable. Testing by the Korea Testing & Research Institute confirmed that neither the phthalate plasticizers harmful to the human body nor heavy metals were detected. In addition, a special UV coating strengthens durability and stain resistance against dents and scratches, so it can be applied with peace of mind even in homes with young children or pets.
KCC Glass HOMECC Interior's residential LVT flooring 'Sense House' has been launched in a total of eight varied wood and stone designs—including ▲Symphony Oak ▲Oak ▲Chestnut ▲Roman Stone and ▲Basic Concrete—featuring bright, soft colors and a calm, cozy feel in line with interior trends. In particular, unlike typical roll-type PVC flooring, it comes in tile form and adds realistic embossing that brings out the texture of natural materials, allowing an interior effect similar to installing expensive natural stone or solid-wood flooring without a large cost burden.
