Roborock has launched the ‘Saros Z70,’ the world’s first robot vacuum equipped with a 5-axis robotic arm, in Korea.
The Saros Z70’s foldable 5-axis robotic arm, OmniGrip, is fitted with precision sensors and camera LED lighting, allowing the robot to identify the location, surrounding environment, and weight of the object it intends to pick up. It can lift items weighing up to 300g—such as socks, tissues, and slippers—and move them to a designated location. In addition to its 108 pre-trained objects, it can learn up to 50 additional new objects through AI-based custom user settings. It also features a dual anti-tangle system and dual spinning mops, and can adjust the height of its brush, mop, and main body to suit the cleaning environment while lifting its front wheels, enabling it to traverse thresholds up to 4cm high. Furthermore, the AI-based navigation system built into the Saros Z70—the StarSight Autonomous System 2.0—together with the VertiBeam side obstacle avoidance feature, sets accurate routes even in complex environments and supports efficient cleaning. On top of this, it supports a variety of smart functions through the app, including real-time cleaning status monitoring, cleaning zone settings, and schedule management.
