Festool Korea, the premium German power tool brand, will launch the cordless edge trimmer 'OFKC 500 R3 EB-Basic' in Korea in February 2026, delivering outstanding precision and flexibility for wood, furniture, and interior finishing work.
Built on an 18V cordless system, this new product ensures complete mobility while fully retaining Festool's signature precision trimming technology, making it a precise trimming solution for on-site finishing professionals and custom furniture makers. For edge trimming of flat panels such as furniture, doors, and panels, maintaining an accurate cutting depth and consistent cutting quality is essential. Like Festool's corded 'OFK 500' model, the 'Cordless Edge Trimmer OFKC 500' allows fine adjustment in 0.1 mm increments via a bit height adjustment dial. In addition, using the dedicated roundover and chamfer bits can significantly reduce the working time of repetitive trimming processes while maintaining consistent machining quality. Its light weight of 1.3 kg (excluding accessories) makes it easy to handle, and the spindle stop function enables quick and simple bit changes. Furthermore, it is equipped with a Festool EC-TEC brushless motor, implementing an intelligent torque control system that automatically compensates the rotation speed even when the cutting resistance changes. This maintains consistent cutting quality even at high speeds (up to 25,000 rpm) and reduces operator fatigue. It is also compatible with Festool's CLEANTEC dust extraction system, immediately extracting the fine dust generated during edge machining to maintain a clean and healthy work environment. On top of this, it can be neatly organized and stored in a Systainer³ case, allowing easy stacking and transport together with other Festool tools and accessories.
