Festool Korea, the German premium power tool brand, announced that this coming February it will launch in Korea the 'CTL 36 EI AC-LHS', a mobile dust extraction solution specialized for dry paint-finishing processes.
This model is a variation-package product developed so that a configuration optimized for wall-sander work—the task most frequently used by paint applicators on-site in Korea—can be set up within the Festool system. Its defining feature is that it is a model for coating professionals who use Festool's 'PLANEX Series' wall sander, whose main applications are paint work (dry sanding of putty and plasterboard, wall coating finishes, and more).
The most important core feature of the new 'CTL 36 EI AC-LHS' is that a dedicated dust extraction hose compatible with Festool's high-quality 'PLANEX Series' wall sander is included as a standard component. This hose comes fitted from the factory with a connection sleeve dedicated to the PLANEX system, so PLANEX users can start using the product right away without any separate additional purchase or configuration change. This dry-sanding-only hose is designed with an optimal diameter and length to extract, with high efficiency, the very light, high-volume dry dust generated during wall-sander use, while minimizing the pull of the PLANEX against the wall. In addition, it features a highly flexible structure with resistance to kinking and bending, heat resistance up to +70°C, and a dedicated internal structure to suppress static electricity and minimize dust backflow. Furthermore, the 'VS-CT AC' dust-blocking slide, which provides a function to manually close/open the suction inlet where the dust extraction hose connects, is also included as a standard component.
In addition, the 'CTL 36 EI AC-LHS' mobile dust extractor can also be used in a configuration that further expands work performance by adding dedicated accessories. Using accessories such as the △Pre-Separator CT-VA 20, a mobile cyclone dust-separation device that reduces filter load, maximizes dust extraction efficiency, and expands container capacity; the △Tool Holder WHR-CT LHS 2, which allows the PLANEX to be efficiently loaded and transported together with the extractor; and the KV-215/5 adhesive fixing band, which secures the cable to the dust extraction hose for neat and tidy organization, enhances on-site productivity and continuous operability and enables the construction of a dust extraction system tailored to the individual operator. On top of this, the maximum suction volume and maximum vacuum pressure of 24,000 Pa, the standardized control-panel design of Festool's dust extraction system, a Bluetooth module provided as standard, and improved main-filter cleaning performance and dust extraction efficiency all apply equally. Furthermore, through the Festool app, the cleaning cycle can be custom-set to 15/30/60/120 seconds according to the user's type of work.
An official from Festool Korea said, "We have launched a dedicated variation solution optimized for customers who use Festool's high-quality PLANEX wall sander in Korea's paint-work environments," and added, "Through a product that provides, as standard, the dedicated hose that PLANEX users truly need, we hope to help operators purchase the optimal dust extraction solution while reducing additional costs."
