Hanssem has opened the Ulsan branch of the Hanssem Rehaus Win-Win Showroom, a shared showroom created for win-win cooperation with local small and mid-sized remodeling affiliate stores. The Win-Win Showroom is a store where the head office opens a large-scale showroom after going through processes such as trade-area analysis, store display planning, and marketing strategy development, and multiple small and mid-sized affiliate stores move in to operate jointly. This operating model reflects the recent trend toward larger interior stores and the fact that it is difficult for affiliate store owners with limited capital and manpower to run a large store on their own.
Starting in July, Hanssem renamed its existing affiliate-store shared showroom, the ‘Hanssem Rehaus Showroom,’ to the ‘Hanssem Rehaus Win-Win Showroom,’ and is strengthening its support for affiliate stores’ shared success. It has expanded the number of resident affiliate stores from around 10 to about 20–30, and has cut the move-in fee in half. To boost customer traffic, the head office supports cultural events such as lectures on remodeling trends. Currently, Hanssem operates a total of 10 Win-Win Showrooms nationwide, including the Ulsan branch as well as the Yangjae, Bucheon, and Haeundae branches, with around 240 affiliate stores in residence.
The Ulsan branch of the Win-Win Showroom spans a total of 990㎡ across three above-ground floors, housing a total of 18 small and mid-sized affiliate stores. Affiliate store owners can propose a wide range of products needed for remodeling—such as kitchen furniture, bathrooms, windows and doors, flooring, and doors—to customers not only at their existing stores but also at the Win-Win Showroom. In particular, the showroom displays two model houses decorated by interior concept, such as ‘Urban Chic’ and ‘Modern Beige,’ along with four style zones, allowing customers to experience in advance how their homes will look after construction. It also features a building-materials sample zone where customers can directly compare various materials and make careful selections. Hanssem plans to strengthen its support for win-win cooperation with affiliate stores and to open additional Win-Win Showrooms. The company also expects the Win-Win Showrooms to help not only increase affiliate stores’ sales but also grow the overall size of the remodeling market.
Choi Hyung-guk, CEO of ‘Design Ato,’ an affiliate store moving into the Ulsan branch of the Win-Win Showroom, said, “Customers who visit stores for remodeling want to see with their own eyes how their home will look after construction, but existing stores were so small—displaying only one kitchen set and building-material samples—that there were many realistic limitations,” adding, “At the Win-Win Showroom, a large store, we can show customers not only a wide variety of products but also how their home will look after construction, so we expect it to help raise the contract rate.” 1899-3025
