Launch of the ‘Lighting Pad Lounge,’ a Fusion of Elegance and Technology
Häfele Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Stefan Huber), a global furniture and architectural hardware company, announced that it is launching in Korea a range of products that have won prestigious international design awards recognized around the world.
As its first step, the innovative ‘Lighting Pad Lounge,’ which integrates lighting and sound-absorbing functions, will soon be available in Korea. The Lighting Pad Lounge won the ‘Silver’ award at the Baden-Württemberg International Design Awards Focus Open 2020, and the ‘High Product Quality’ award at the INTERZUM 2021 exhibition.
The Lighting Pad Lounge, a lighting and acoustic solution, helps create a refined and comfortable space so that you can enjoy hotel-like relaxation at home—perfectly suited to the current trend in which rest at home is considered very important. The product is a ceiling-mounted down light that, through its dimming function, provides a wide range of color temperatures from 2700 to 4000K. In addition, with its various direct and indirect lighting components, it allows an infinite range of lighting atmospheres to be set to suit each situation. Another special feature, its sound-absorbing function, reduces noise in the space where it is installed to create a pleasant acoustic environment, playing an important role in places where people work and communicate together, such as offices and hotel lounges.
The sophisticated exterior of the Lighting Pad Lounge, crafted from premium wood, was inspired by the sand dollar in the way it wraps soft components in a strong shell. The resulting body not only helps enhance the interior of public spaces and premium residential areas, but also allows lighting control and height adjustment via an application.
The Technology-Intensive Lighting System ‘LOOX5,’ Equipped with Enhanced, Convenient Components
Häfele’s ‘LOOX,’ a lighting solution acclaimed for many years, is being launched in the domestic market as the upgraded ‘LOOX5.’ The Häfele LOOX product line is a lighting system that concentrates Häfele’s technology; convenient and durable since its release, it has been applied in a wide range of areas worldwide, including hotels, residences, and premium stores.
The upgraded LOOX5 system now being launched in Korea includes a new series of LED strip lighting that offers improved lighting quality and a guaranteed lifespan of 50,000 hours. Individual components—such as drivers (ballasts) designed for continuous, trouble-free operation, switches, lighting, and networking accessories—can be easily connected without electrical equipment thanks to a Plug & Play system that works right when plugged in, and the line-up includes a variety of options such as a mobile device connecting system, RGB, and multi-dimmable lighting.
In particular, for the connecting cable design, 12V products are marked in yellow and 24V products in green as a color code, allowing the operating voltage to be recognized intuitively; and by offering profiles in various shapes and colors, the range of choices has been broadened according to the color and application location of the furniture. In addition, the strip lighting, supplied in 5m units, can be cut to the length the user desires and used together with a profile. The profiles, selected according to the intended use, distribute the light source evenly and, with their minimalist design, can be applied to furniture almost invisibly. Made of aluminum, they conduct the heat generated by the lighting to extend the lifespan of the LED lights, and provide effective protection against dust and damage.
These are remarkable lights that transform a space with various switches and brightness levels, and since user satisfaction is doubled when interior lighting and furniture lighting interact, adding the linear lens—which won the top ‘Best of the Best’ award at the ‘2021 INTERZUM Award’—as an additional accessory reduces glare in unwanted areas and strengthens the focus of light where it is needed.
