Targeting the B2B Built-In Market with an Even More Diverse Kitchen Furniture Portfolio

Hyundai Livart is expanding its kitchen furniture business portfolio. By adding a global luxury kitchen furniture brand to its existing lineup centered on mid- and high-grade kitchen furniture, the company aims to strengthen its competitiveness not only in the B2C kitchen furniture market but also in the B2B built-in market.

Hyundai Livart announced that it has signed an exclusive domestic sales agreement with the Italian high-end kitchen furniture brand ‘Valcucine.’ Ranked alongside ‘Boffi’ and ‘bulthaup’ as one of the world’s top three luxury kitchen furniture brands, ‘Valcucine’ is regarded as a leading premium kitchen furniture brand. Founded in Italy in 1980, ‘Valcucine’ is renowned for rising to the ranks of luxury kitchen furniture on the strength of its ergonomic design and its bold designs and functionality that make use of materials uncommon in the kitchen furniture industry, such as glass and titanium. In particular, it is known for its overwhelming technological prowess and high-quality production capabilities, including the thinnest (2 mm thick) and lightest ultra-lightweight kitchen doors, the world’s first kitchen furniture made from 100% recyclable aluminum, and silent automatic open-and-close doors. ‘Valcucine’ currently operates some 300 stores in major cities around the world, including Milan, Paris, New York, and Berlin.

An official from Hyundai Livart explained, “We signed the agreement with Valcucine, a global kitchen furniture brand, to strengthen our competitiveness in the B2C kitchen furniture market and to solidify our No. 1 market share in the B2B built-in furniture market.” Previously, Hyundai Livart launched its specialized brand ‘Livart Kitchen’ in 2015 to strengthen its B2C kitchen furniture business, and in 2017 it signed an exclusive domestic sales agreement for built-in furniture, including kitchen furniture from the renowned Italian comprehensive furniture company ‘ARAN CUCINE.’ In addition, in 2021 it drew industry attention by launching ‘Giorgetti,’ a luxury furniture brand with a 123-year tradition.

By adding the high-end lines ‘Giorgetti’ and ‘Valcucine’ to its existing premium line (ARAN CUCINE) and prestige line (Livart Kitchen), Hyundai Livart has now established a full kitchen furniture lineup. As a result, the company has secured unrivaled brand competitiveness not only in the B2C remodeling market but also in the B2B built-in market, including apartment redevelopment and remodeling.

Going forward, Hyundai Livart plans to actively pursue the B2B built-in market by leveraging its increasingly diverse kitchen furniture portfolio, led by ‘Valcucine.’ Its strategy is to analyze customer needs for each luxury apartment redevelopment and reconstruction complex being pursued in areas such as Seoul’s Gangnam-gu and Yongsan-gu, and to win contracts through product lines that combine ‘Valcucine’ and ‘ARAN CUCINE,’ among others.

An official from Hyundai Livart said, “With recently elevated living environments and rising customer expectations for living interiors, the trend toward premium products is growing stronger,” adding, “Through the expansion of premium brands and the strengthening of our own product competitiveness, we will further solidify our standing as a total interior specialist company.”

Meanwhile, Hyundai Livart plans to open a ‘Valcucine Flagship Store’ near Nonhyeon-dong in Seoul’s Gangnam-gu within this year, and is also considering operating ‘Valcucine Showrooms’ in major department stores. 1577-3332
