'EGIS STRONG' featuring SPC material blended with stone powder
Home CC Interior, the specialized interior brand of KCC Glass (Chairman Chung Mong-ik), is strengthening its flooring lineup with the renewal of its eco-friendly flooring 'Soop Ock' and the new launch of the SPC flooring 'EGIS STRONG'.
'Soop Ock' is a 2.2 mm-thick residential PVC flooring highly favored by consumers, and it is one of Home CC Interior's flagship flooring products that has enjoyed steady popularity for over 20 years thanks to its excellent quality and reasonable price. Compared with plank-type flooring, it has fewer gaps at the seams, reducing concerns about contamination from the penetration of contaminants or product deformation, and a UV layer applied to its surface gives it outstanding durability against dents and scratches, allowing for easy maintenance.
In addition, 'Soop Ock' is a product that has proven its eco-friendliness by earning the highest grade of the Korea Air Cleaning Association's eco-friendly building material (HB Mark), the Ministry of Environment's official Eco-Label (Environmental Labeling certification), and, as a first in the flooring industry, the Korea Atopy Association's recommended product mark. Its brand value has also been recognized: it ranked No. 1 in the PVC flooring category of the 2021 Korean Quality Satisfaction Index organized by the Korean Standards Association for 12 consecutive years, followed by ranking No. 1 in the residential flooring category of the 2022 Brand Power of Korean Industry organized by the Korea Management Association Consulting for 7 consecutive years.
Through this renewal, 'Soop Ock' now offers a total of 20 design patterns across a variety of materials such as wood and stone. In particular, design patterns that realistically recreate the feel of natural materials through the application of synchronized embossing technology and the minimization of repeating patterns have been expanded, and, in line with the latest trends, wide-format design patterns that make spaces appear visually larger have also been significantly added, which is expected to further broaden consumers' choices.
Alongside this, Home CC Interior has also newly launched 'EGIS STRONG', an SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) flooring. 'SPC flooring' is a new-concept flooring product that applies SPC material blended with stone powder and a polymer composite, making it resistant to moisture and offering excellent surface abrasion resistance. In particular, 'SPC flooring' is a product whose demand is rapidly growing in the global luxury vinyl tile (LVT) market, including the North American market, and demand is high in the remodeling markets for premium country houses, townhouses, and hotel guest rooms.
The new product 'EGIS STRONG' is a brand name combining 'EGIS', meaning the shield of Zeus, and the English word 'STRONG', conveying that it is strong in both moisture resistance and surface abrasion resistance. 'EGIS STRONG' features easy installation thanks to a click-lock joining method that requires no adhesive and the integrated application of IXPE foam, which is used in premium camping mats and the like. 'EGIS STRONG' is composed of a total of 8 wood and stone design patterns, making it possible to create a harmonious atmosphere in any space, and its quality has also been proven through KC certification and official recommended product certification from the Korean Society of Interior Designers (KOSID).
