Kiturami is launching the 'Kiturami Ventilation Plus Plasma Air Purification System,' which applies a plasma ionizer to reduce indoor air pollutants even more effectively.
In the 'Kiturami Ventilation Plus Plasma Air Purification System,' the negative (-) and positive (+) ions generated by the plasma ionizer bind airborne pollutants into clusters that are then filtered out. In particular, it removes airborne bacteria and viruses by deactivating them, and effectively neutralizes volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odor gases that cause sick building syndrome. When the plasma ionizer is running, the ozone concentration generated is a maximum of 0.003 ppm—significantly lower than the indoor standard set by the Ministry of Environment (0.06 ppm or less)—making it safe. In addition, the new product upgrades its air purification performance by applying a dual filter. A carbon filter composed of countless activated-charcoal granules removes odors and harmful gases coming in from outside, while a HEPA filter captures up to 99.9% of ultrafine dust particles 0.3 ㎛ in size, maintaining fresh, comfortable indoor air. Furthermore, the 'Kiturami Ventilation Plus Plasma Air Purification System' uses a high-efficiency total heat exchange element to recover more than 70% of the coolness and warmth held in indoor air. The recovered energy is used to warm or cool the incoming outside air, delivering excellent heating and cooling energy savings. On top of that, with low power consumption of just 63 W, running it 24 hours a day for an entire month costs less than 10,000 won in monthly electricity charges, and its operating noise is as quiet as a library at a minimum of 36 ㏈.
In addition, a variety of operating modes are available, including an automatic cleaning mode that measures indoor air pollution in real time and purifies the air on its own, a low-noise sleep cleaning mode that creates an environment for restful sleep, a cooking cleaning mode that quickly expels harmful gases generated during cooking, and a power-saving cleaning mode that maximizes energy savings.
An official from Kiturami Boiler said, "We hope that, in addition to apartment complexes and mixed-use residential-commercial buildings of 30 or more households where ventilation system installation is mandatory, households that have been managing their indoor air with conventional air purifiers will also install the Kiturami Ventilation Plus Plasma Air Purification System to enjoy comfortable daily living free of fine dust, germs, and viruses." 1588-9000
