Window Replacement Support Program Commemoration Ceremony

Kumho Petrochemical announced that on October 2, it visited Shinmangae Rehabilitation Center, a rehabilitation facility for people with disabilities located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, and carried out a window replacement project.

Sarang Hall at Shinmangae Rehabilitation Center, built in 1993, is a women's residential hall that had struggled with facility heating because its windows had been left to deteriorate for more than 30 years due to cost issues. According to the company, the aluminum and wooden windows used in the past had warped over time, reducing insulation performance, and leaks during rainfall caused rust and mold, posing a hygiene threat to the 41 residents of Sarang Hall.

In response, Kumho Petrochemical spent approximately 80 million won to completely replace a total of 51 windows in Sarang Hall's living rooms, offices, stairways, and ramps with Hugreen windows, helping the facility's residents prepare for winter.

In particular, this support targeted a facility selected by the Gyeonggi-do Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled, rather than the Seoul area as in the past. Kumho Petrochemical explained that, as it is diversifying its social contribution activities this year, it has also expanded the scope of its window replacement support to convey the meaning of giving back to society and mutual prosperity across a wider region.

The commemoration ceremony that day was attended by Kumho Petrochemical President and CEO Baek Jong-hoon, Gyeonggi-do Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled Chairman Kim Kwang-sik, Shinmangae Rehabilitation Center CEO Kim Yang-won, and Namyangju City Welfare Bureau Director Choi Jae-woong, among others. Baek Jong-hoon, CEO of Kumho Petrochemical, said, "I hope you spend this winter warmly with Hugreen windows," and added, "We will continue to provide support wherever help is needed."
