Kyungdong Navien announced that its Russian subsidiary, Navien Rus, held an event at the Lotte Hotel in Moscow to commemorate cumulative sales of 1 million units. This is a first among the boiler brands operating in Russia, and the milestone was achieved just five years after the subsidiary was established.

In particular, even amid the economic crisis that hit the Russian region, Kyungdong Navien posted double-digit growth throughout the past five years on the strength of outstanding products and reliable service, expanding its market presence by selling more than 100,000 boilers annually.

Reflecting this influence, the event was attended by some 250 business partners as well as many distinguished guests, including Woo Yoon-keun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Russia; Mikhail Kuzmin, a member of the Russian parliament's committee on natural resources and land property; and officials from Gazprom.

After first beginning exports to the Russian market in 1994, Kyungdong Navien created new waves in a Russian boiler market that had been dominated by European companies from countries such as Germany and Italy.

Although a latecomer, the company launched products designed with the local heating infrastructure and climate in mind, overtaking European brands to establish itself as a leading company in a short period of time.

A key factor was earning consumers' trust with boilers that operate reliably even in strong winds, low gas pressure, and unstable voltage—an achievement made possible through analysis of the local climate and heating infrastructure.
