First-Ever ‘Q Mark’ Certification in the Interior Sliding Door Category in Korea

Passes rigorous quality standards, including a 100,000-cycle open-and-close test

EAGON Windows & Doors announced that its aluminum sliding door brand ‘EAGON RAUM’ has become the first in Korea to obtain the ‘Q Mark Quality Certification’ (hereinafter the Q Mark) in the interior sliding door category.

The Q Mark is a quality certification system administered by the Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) to promote improved product quality and consumer protection. Only products that pass quality testing—such as performance and safety evaluations conducted under strict standards—are permitted to display the ‘Q Mark.’

The sliding system door and automatic interior door that obtained the Q Mark this time passed open-and-close tests of 100,000 and 300,000 cycles respectively, verifying the durability of the doors and dampers. In addition, according to a company official, the products earned the Q Mark certification in part for taking into account human body dimensions for wheelchair users—such as the effective width of the door and the height of the handle—for the benefit of users with limited mobility.

‘S-LITE,’ EAGON RAUM’s flagship product that obtained the Q Mark, is an aluminum sliding interior door notable for its slim frame. It efficiently divides spaces while maintaining an open feel, offering the advantage of a comfortable interior. In addition, its design glass, available in a variety of colors and materials, allows for a modern and refined space. In particular, the recessed bottom rail not only delivers smooth operation and excellent durability but also features a low floor rail just 1 mm high, designed so there is no tripping hazard even when applied to entry spaces.

EAGON RAUM’s automatic interior door products use a low-noise German motor to maintain a quiet indoor environment, and they are distinguished by enhanced quality achieved through the use of superior hardware, including a controller that has received CE certification, the European Union’s certification mark.
