IKEA Korea, a home furnishing retail company, officially opened its third store in Korea, IKEA Giheung, on December 12, following its Gwangmyeong and Goyang stores.

Located at San 41-7, Gomae-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do (road address: 62 Singomae-ro), IKEA Giheung spans two basement levels and three above-ground floors, with a total sales floor area of 49,808.77㎡, and operates daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

IKEA Giheung is the first store to be unveiled following the company's transition to a multichannel model enabling both online and offline shopping, with a focus on the convenience of the customer shopping experience. In particular, various digital solutions and experience spaces have been introduced throughout the store so that customers can encounter IKEA home furnishing through a more fun and enriching experience.

In addition, through some 100 home visits, IKEA identified local customers' needs at home, the improvements they wish to make, and the spaces they dream of, and it provides those solutions through the store's showrooms and various display spaces. In particular, based on findings that the main target customers of IKEA Giheung are families raising young children who have a strong desire to improve their storage, the store focuses on providing not only organization and storage solutions but also home furnishing inspiration and ideas for using space more efficiently. Alongside this, 'home furnishing coaches' with expertise in home furnishing offer a variety of home furnishing know-how and solutions that anyone can easily get started with throughout the store.

Anje Heim, store manager of IKEA Giheung, said, "We are very pleased to meet customers in the southern part of the Seoul metropolitan area through IKEA Giheung," adding, "Through more than 10,000 diverse home furnishing products and a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience, we hope that more people will be able to create happy and lively homes."
