Kiturami Group Chairman Choi Jin-min is supporting the dreams and hopes of future talents while spreading a positive influence throughout the local community.
Kiturami Group (Chairman Choi Jin-min) announced that it held the ‘Kiturami Scholarship Award Ceremony’ for young talents, including high school students, within Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do (County Governor Lee Hyun-jong).
The Kiturami Scholarship Award Ceremony, held on July 17 at the Hantangang River Spa Hotel (located in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do), was attended by some 120 people, including Kiturami Group Chairman Choi Jin-min, Cheorwon County Governor Lee Hyun-jong, and high school students enrolled within Cheorwon-gun.
Following this year’s ceremonies at Daegu Technical High School and the Girls’ Middle School Attached to the College of Education of Hongik University, Chairman Choi Jin-min has now attended a scholarship award ceremony in Cheorwon-gun as well, continuing his special interest in nurturing talent across the country.
The total scholarship of KRW 106 million is provided to encourage the studies of the selected scholarship recipients. The ‘Kiturami Scholarship Program,’ which has continued since 1985, has supported a cumulative total of 50,000 scholarship recipients, with sponsorship amounting to KRW 34 billion.
Kiturami Group Chairman Choi Jin-min said, “With the Kiturami Scholarship, we hope to add a small note of encouragement so that the talents who will brighten the future of Cheorwon-gun and the Republic of Korea can devote themselves even more to their studies,” adding, “Going forward, we will continue our generous support so that every local talent can be provided with equal educational opportunities.”
Meanwhile, through the Kiturami Culture Foundation and the Kiturami Welfare Foundation, Kiturami Group has practiced sharing management by giving back some KRW 55.3 billion to society over the past 39 years, not only through its scholarship program but also through academic research support projects, educational institution support projects, social welfare facility support projects, and residential environment improvement projects.
