Six municipalities including Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province
Encouraging scholarship recipients in their studies
Kiturami Group (Chairman Choi Jin-min) announced that it has presented the ‘Kiturami Scholarship’ to six local governments, including Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province.
The scholarship amounts to 50 million won each for Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province, Chungju City in North Chungcheong Province, Seongbuk-gu in Seoul, Dongjak-gu in Seoul, and Jinhae-gu in Changwon, and 30 million won for Hongseong County in South Chungcheong Province.
The Kiturami Scholarship is provided to encourage the studies of scholarship recipients recommended by each local government, such as academically excellent students and children from low-income families.
An official from Kiturami Group said, "We hope that the students who received the Kiturami Scholarship can ease their financial difficulties and nurture their dreams. Kiturami Group will continue to fulfill its corporate social responsibility through various social contribution initiatives."
Through the Kiturami Culture Foundation and the Kiturami Welfare Foundation, Kiturami Group has carried out social contribution projects totaling 51 billion won over 38 years, including scholarship programs, academic research support programs, and development funds for educational institutions.
Meanwhile, Kiturami Co., Ltd. provided an ‘Emergency Flood Site Recovery Service’ for flood victims in the Osong area of North Chungcheong Province. Since July 19, Kiturami has been operating an emergency recovery service camp in the parking lot of the Osong-eup Administrative Welfare Center. Emergency recovery teams dispatched from Kiturami Boiler's headquarters and regional CS centers are providing free boiler inspection and repair services to households affected by flooding.
