Kiturami Group

State-of-the-Art Ventilation and Power Generation System

Kiturami Group is opening ‘Kiturami Clean Tennis 13,’ a facility equipped with state-of-the-art ventilation (air conditioning), cogeneration, and heating and cooling systems, in Gocheok-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul.

Kiturami has newly built eight world-class, internationally regulation-sized indoor courts in a two-story structure across a total floor area of 10,000㎡ (about 3,000 pyeong). Combined with the existing three indoor and two outdoor courts that opened in 2017, this brings the total to 13 courts, and the company plans to operate ‘Kiturami Clean Tennis 13’ year-round.

In particular, Kiturami Clean Tennis 13 is equipped with the state-of-the-art ventilation, power generation, and heating and cooling systems held by Kiturami Group—including △a floor ventilation system △micro cogeneration △a reverse ECO condensing mid-size cascade △a Century oil-free turbo chiller—allowing visitors to enjoy exercise in a comfortable environment throughout all four seasons.

Kiturami Clean Tennis 13 is the first in Korea to apply a floor ventilation system. Scattering dust (airborne dust) shed from tennis balls and indoor fine dust are quickly discharged through intake vents installed beneath the net and at the base of the walls, while a ventilation system installed at the top of the tennis court continuously supplies fresh air from outside to maintain a comfortable indoor environment.

The micro CHP (Combined Heat & Power, cogeneration system) produces electricity at the tennis court to supply the lighting and ventilation facilities, and utilizes the waste heat generated during power production for heating and cooling. It is also a four-birds-with-one-stone energy technology that can be used as an emergency generator.

The reverse ECO condensing mid-size cascade system connects multiple eco-friendly, high-efficiency boilers to supply large volumes of hot water and heating throughout the facility. The oil-free turbo chiller produces chilled water using electricity generated by the micro CHP, maintaining a constant temperature and humidity of 23 degrees throughout all four seasons.
