KCC Glass Recognized in the Apartment Housing Category
Actively Participating with High-Insulation Windows
KCC Glass (CEO Kim Nae-hwan), which operates 'HomeCC Interior,' announced that it has been selected as a 'Green Remodeling Excellent Business Operator' by the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety (KALIS).
Green Remodeling is an interest-support program promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and KALIS to improve the living environment of the public by raising the energy efficiency of aging buildings and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. When construction work related to improving a building's energy performance is carried out, the government supports the interest costs on construction loans of up to 100 million won for detached houses and up to 30 million won per household for apartments and other multi-unit housing.
Each year, KALIS evaluates project performance, customer satisfaction, and public promotion activities based on the content of Green Remodeling projects to select Excellent Business Operators. This year, the review was conducted across a total of three categories—△apartment housing, △detached housing, and △non-residential—and KCC Glass was named an Excellent Business Operator in the apartment housing category in recognition of its leading role in improving the residential environment of apartment housing.
Through HomeCC Interior, KCC Glass has introduced 'HomeCC Window,' a high-insulation window product eligible for Green Remodeling project applications, and is actively participating in the program.
HomeCC Window boasts outstanding insulation performance thanks to its use of high-insulation, specially coated 'Low-E glass'—developed and produced directly by KCC Glass, the top seller in Korea's glass market—for the glass that accounts for about 80% of a window's area.
In addition, it incorporates a range of accessories that enhance user safety and convenience, including △a smart handle that lets users visually confirm the lock status, △an air guard that blocks even drafts through gaps, and △a bug guard that prevents insects from entering through the window frame. Depending on the item, it also offers the industry's longest quality warranty of 13 years.
A KCC Glass official said, "We are pleased that HomeCC Interior's efforts to prioritize customer trust and safety have been highly recognized through this selection as a Green Remodeling Excellent Business Operator," adding, "As a leader in the interior field, including windows, HomeCC Interior will continue to actively participate in the eco-friendly initiatives promoted by the government."
