As director Bong Joon-ho's film 'Parasite'—the first Korean film to win the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival—continues to make headlines, audiences are also showing growing interest in the 'luxury home' belonging to the Park family that serves as the film's main setting.

EAGON Windows & Doors, Korea's leading system window and door company, announced that it supplied aluminum system doors and interior doors to the Park family's house in the film 'Parasite.'

The film 'Parasite' tells the story that unfolds when Ki-woo (Choi Woo-shik), the eldest son of the unemployed Ki-taek (Song Kang-ho) family, sets foot in the home of Mr. Park (Lee Sun-kyun) to land a high-paying tutoring job. 'Parasite' has captured the attention of the entire nation, becoming the first Korean film to win the Palme d'Or at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival.

The Park family's home, which appears as the main setting of the film 'Parasite,' is known to be not an actual house but a meticulously crafted set built to look realistic. At the request of director Bong Joon-ho—nicknamed 'Bong-tail' for his attention to detail—the set was constructed to resemble a real house, with the interior design and building materials carefully selected based on consultations with architects. It is already a well-known anecdote that even the Cannes Film Festival jury did not realize the Park family's mansion in the film was an open set.

Built on the premise that it was designed by a renowned architect, this house boasts modern and elegant spatial beauty, and EAGON's aluminum system door 'ADS 70 HI' was applied to its living room and kitchen doors. 'ADS 70 HI' is a door product introduced based on EAGON's expertise in system window and door manufacturing technology. Made of aluminum, it combines excellent durability with a simple design. By applying the hardware of European-style system windows and doors, it offers not only outstanding insulation and airtightness but also excellent security through its special key cylinder, and is mainly used in luxury homes and high-rise buildings.

In the film, 'ADS 70 HI' was applied alongside the living room's full-glass windows, creating a sense of unity and a modern yet sophisticated atmosphere. The door that Ki-woo (Choi Woo-shik) opens as he appears in the first 'Parasite' poster is precisely EAGON's 'ADS 70 HI.'

In the hallway leading from the mansion's entrance to the living room, 'S-SYNCHRO' from EAGON Raum, EAGON's interior slim door brand, was applied. 'S-SYNCHRO' is a double-leaf sliding door in which opening or closing one door simultaneously opens or closes the other. It is suitable for installation in narrow hallways or passageways, and can also be used to easily transform part of a commercial space or office into a meeting room. In the film, it appears in the scene where Ki-woo (Choi Woo-shik) visits and looks around Mr. Park's (Lee Sun-kyun) house for the first time, representing the taste of the Park family, who pursue a luxurious and refined lifestyle.

An EAGON representative said, "It appears that EAGON's brand concept was chosen as the film's building material because it aligned well with the mansion's interior, which features restrained colors and minimalist design," adding, "When watching a film, examining not only the characters but also the architecture that shapes the film's atmosphere can be an enjoyable point of appreciation."
