Support for Culture, Arts and Education
Samhwa Paints Industrial Co., Ltd. is carrying out a ‘Corporate-Linked Convergence Creative Education’ program together with Jongno-gu, targeting middle schools within the district.
As part of its ESG management activities, Samhwa Paints is committed to supporting the fields of culture, arts and education in order to build a more beautiful society. Samhwa Paints took part in this program to help future generations view the world through a beautiful lens and move toward an even more beautiful society.
The ‘Corporate-Linked Convergence Creative Education’ is a project supported by Jongno-gu to provide students in the district with opportunities for career exploration and high-quality hands-on education. Through this project, Samhwa Paints is conducting color education for 200 middle school students in Jongno-gu.
The lessons consist of experiential programs including ▲the theory and understanding of color ▲abnormal vision testing ▲color universal design ▲an introduction to applied fields of color. In particular, Samhwa Paints broadens students’ horizons and offers them an opportunity to indirectly experience a profession by sharing the vivid color technologies used in actual industrial settings such as architecture, products and interiors, along with the expertise of color specialists.
Lee Sang-hee, head of Samhwa Paints’ Color Design Center, said, “Samhwa Paints is a long-standing company that has shared in the history and culture of Jongno-gu,” adding, “As we move toward becoming a century-old company, Samhwa Paints plans to continue carrying out social contribution activities that support future generations.”
Meanwhile, in August of last year, Samhwa Paints signed a business agreement with Jongno-gu for social contribution projects in the field of public design, and has participated in projects organized by Jongno-gu such as culture and arts support, kindergarten environment improvement, and streetscape enhancement.
