The Noroo Group, known for Noroo Paint, exhibited ‘TIDE,’ a work embodying its original design philosophy, at the world’s largest design exhibition, ‘2019 Milan Design Week,’ from April 9 (local time) to 14 at Ventura Centrale in Milan, Italy.

This exhibition featured Korean artist Lee Kwang-ho, renowned for his collaboration on Amorepacific’s new headquarters and the OSULLOC store within the building, together with ‘Wang & Söderström,’ a promising Northern European artist team that drew attention for its collaborations with Burberry and Nike, presenting ‘fundamental beauty.’

The work, which concludes the ‘ESSENCE trilogy’ series, presented a differentiated beauty under the theme of ‘the Tide, giving form to the primal beauty of nature.’ While last year the group delivered a lecture on the essence of color and design through NCTS (Noroo International Color Trend Show), and expressed ‘eternal, immortal beauty’ by launching ‘Coverall’ (a trend book) at Japan’s Tsutaya bookstore, this exhibition explained ‘the origin of color and design.’

The group took on the role of a ‘space designer,’ rearranging works by entirely different artists to create a new space that best expresses the theme. Going beyond color, it fully demonstrated its new capabilities in space design, and was selected for the ‘Milan TOP 10 Exhibitions’ of this year by the renowned Dutch architecture magazine FRAME, as well as the ‘15 Exhibitions Not to Be Missed’ by the famous Italian interior magazine D CASA. It was also given prominent coverage in the European architecture magazine DOMUS. During the event, more than 10,000 visitors attended, drawing significant attention.

The Noroo Group considers it an honor to be the first in the industry to present customers with a sensuous exhibition embodying an original design philosophy in Milan, and going forward it will enable customers to experience and resonate with designs that can be interpreted in various forms within everyday life, beyond simple color design.
