Receives Commissioner General of the National Police Agency Award at the Korea Crime Prevention Awards
Recognized for its contributions and achievements in creating safe living spaces for local residents
Noroo Paint received the Commissioner General of the National Police Agency Award at the ceremony for the '7th Korea Crime Prevention Awards,' co-hosted by the National Police Agency and the JoongAng Ilbo on October 26.
The ceremony was held to encourage the participation of private organizations, businesses, and resources from all sectors that have been active in promoting community safety, and to foster a spirit of voluntary engagement in policing activities.
At the ceremony, Noroo Paint—together with local police stations and the Ministry of Justice's Law-Abiding Support Centers—was named an award-winning company in the crime prevention CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) category, in recognition of its contributions and achievements in creating safe living spaces for residents through improvements to the local environment.
Noroo Paint, which delivers a positive and bright image to the world through color, has carried out mural projects to prevent crime in high-risk areas since 2010, working alongside local police stations, the National Police Agency, and Law-Abiding Support Centers.
In addition, in 2016 the company signed a CPTED project MOU with the Ministry of Justice's Law-Abiding Support Centers, taking full-fledged part in community crime prevention activities. Since then, it has supplied eco-friendly paint for environmental improvement in some 30 areas nationwide and, through ongoing communication with the support centers, has provided mural maintenance and support where needed.
Alongside its CPTED projects, Noroo Paint carries out sharing activities through color at places in need of environmental improvement in underserved communities, such as special schools for students with disabilities, childcare centers, welfare centers, and schools. Through its shared value of 'NOROO Growing Together,' the company has established social contribution as both an ethical standard it upholds and an execution strategy, positioning it as a core value and strategic task in realizing its vision as a specialized eco-friendly color service company.
