Himpel's ‘HUBEN S_UV' removes 99% of airborne bacteria and viruses
Daol System (CEO Kim Sung-ho) announced that it has supplied air circulators for ventilation and disinfection to Samsung Electronics' NanoCity Onyang Campus. Daol System is an eco-friendly home appliance distribution company that sells the products of Korea's ventilation appliance makers and provides installation services.
The product supplied this time is the ‘HUBEN S_UV,' a stand-type air circulator (ventilation system) from Himpel that received New Excellent Product (NEP) certification in the electrical and electronics field as an ‘energy-saving upright ventilation air purification device.'
Himpel's ‘HUBEN S_UV' ventilation appliance discharges carbon dioxide and polluted indoor air to the outside, and draws in only clean air from outdoors after filtering out even ultrafine dust through a high-performance multi-filter system and a UV sterilization system. It is equipped with a UV sterilization filter system capable of removing 99% of various airborne bacteria and viruses, from ultrafine dust as small as 0.3㎛ to microorganisms, using UV-LED photocatalyst technology.
Because a single ‘HUBEN S_UV' unit can manage indoor air quality in a large space, it can be installed in factories, offices, school classrooms, gymnasiums, auditoriums, hospitals, restaurants, cafes, libraries and other locations—such as manufacturing plants, offices, multi-use facilities, public institutions and school classrooms—where it is difficult to open windows for ventilation.
In addition, a smart automation system has been applied to enhance user convenience. Equipped with five air quality sensors, it can automatically manage indoor air quality by checking ultrafine dust and carbon dioxide levels through a smart controller.
The ‘HUBEN S_UV' can also be expected to deliver energy savings. It effectively blocks the loss of indoor heating and cooling energy that occurs during natural ventilation, and is fitted with a heat-recovery total heat exchange element that reduces heating and cooling energy losses by more than 70% when exchanging indoor and outdoor air. By cutting heating and cooling costs by 3㎾ in winter and 1㎾ in summer, it can save 1 million won in electricity bills annually based on running in ventilation mode 24 hours a day.
