Excellence recognized at the Good Design Awards and the Pin-Up Design Awards
Three products: height-adjustable washbasin system, auto-flush all-in-one bidet, and more
Daelim Bath has achieved the notable feat of winning awards at the '2023 Good Design (GD)' and '2023 Pin-Up Design' awards, two of Korea's three major design awards.
The three Daelim Bath products honored this time are the height-adjustable washbasin system, the ostomy cleaning set, and the Smartlet 4500 auto-flush all-in-one bidet (DST-4500). In particular, the height-adjustable washbasin system was recognized at both design awards simultaneously.
The height-adjustable washbasin system won the Silver Award (Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award) at the Good Design Awards and was named to the Best 100 at the Pin-Up Design Awards. The product allows for height adjustment of up to 250㎜ up and down using a detachable remote control. Its defining feature is a universal design that lets anyone—men and women, young and old—use it at their desired height. Exhibited at the 2023 Home Care, Rehabilitation and Welfare Exhibition this past June, it drew a strong response as a product with a design offering both convenience and stability.
The ostomy cleaning set, developed for the first time in Korea for people with colostomies and urostomies, was selected for the Good Design distinction at the Good Design Awards. It consists of a hand shower designed for easy cleaning of narrow ostomy pouches and the like, a curved washbasin, and a faucet with enhanced storage capability. Like the height-adjustable washbasin system, it attracted great attention at the 2023 Home Care, Rehabilitation and Welfare Exhibition for its design specialized in various respects.
The Smartlet 4500 auto-flush all-in-one bidet (DST-4500), which stands out for its aesthetics and practicality, won a place in the Best 100 at the Pin-Up Design Awards. The product is designed with a square-edged design that emphasizes straight lines, adding a touch of luxury to the bathroom, and provides a comfortable seating experience with its stable, broadly designed seat. Meanwhile, with these latest awards, Daelim Bath has now amassed a record of 53 Good Design awards and 40 Pin-Up Design awards to date, giving it the most Good Design award wins among companies in the same industry in Korea.
